I just read somewhere on the playthings review that the lace on this outfit, to her, didn't seem fragile at all. I remember last christmas when I went to AGPC, I was planning on buying this, but the first 4 I inspected from the boxes already had holes where the lace was coming away from the fabric so I held off. I know I heard of several other people who noticed the same problem and was wondering if any one else has bought this dress recently? Does the lace seem sturdier to you? I absolutly love the look of this dress, but didn't want to have to be overly delicate with it. I would love it if the problem has been solved. I also, just called CS at AG and asked them this. She said nothing was noted on the product information, but she took my number and will be calling me back. She also thanked me for bringing the problem to their attention (I would have thought the this would have already been noted though). I'll let you know what she says, but thought I'd ask here as well.

Thanks
Shanna

I just recieved a call back from CS at AG and she said that everything is the same and there have been no alterations....sigh. I'm so disappointed I would have loved that dress.

I bought Elizabeth's Tea Lesson Outfit while in NY a few weeks ago and it came with the following note:

This outfit includes very delicate lace accents on the apron and cuffs - so please handle them carfully! Every detail of our dolls' clothing is designed to be as authentic as possible, and that means some elements are fragile. With gentle use, you will be able to cherish Elizabeth's Tea Lesson Outfit for many years to come.

I am not sure if that is a nice warning or a disclaimer that their products are getting cheaper

Yeah, right! I could name many things that aren't authentic about this outfit.

It seems like a nice quality outfit to me. It doesn't appear like cheap lace as much as fragile, fine lace.

I love Elizabeth's tea dress. I've had mine since the Fall of last year and never had a problem with it. Mine did not seem to be delicate at all. It is really a beautiful dress.

I got this dress for Christmas '05 and have had no problems with it. It even fits my PM Felicity just fine. The lace is pretty and is not separating from the dress at all. I'm just careful not to pull on the lace, especially on the sleeves when I'm taking off the dress. I could see the dress being more troublesome for little girls who have trouble being careful and would be more apt to yank on the sleeve lace when dressing their doll, but for an adult it should be no problem.
